Solving a Technical Problem

A manufacturer of thermal print heads had started the design of a new DSP based controller, but was having trouble with it. Initially coded in assembler, the firmware was incomplete and new features were difficult to add.

Solution

We met with the client to analyze the existing firmware and discuss the required enhancements.  We then proposed re-coding the firmware in C to implement real time adaptive control of the print head, facilitate testing, and provide for future enhancements.  The design was coded and tested at our facility and delivered for final test and production.  All project goals were met.
