Outsourced Design

A manufacturing company was extending its product line by adding a new product.  For staffing reasons, they planned to use in-house engineers to design the hardware and outsource the firmware design.

Solution

We worked with the client's engineers to finalize the hardware design.  Based on a set of functional specifications supplied by the client, we developed firmware architecture for the product.  We researched possible commercial real time operating systems for the product and gained the client's approval for our selection.  Firmware was coded, tested, and thoroughly documented.  Throughout the project we worked closely with many of the client's personnel to keep the project moving ahead.
